So I was at my friend's dorm, and this girl staggered up to the door, and she had on this like party toga thing and was all dirty and exhausted and crying, and we let her in and she was obviously Not Okay and crying and cold and we got her blankets and tried to take care of her and we didn't know where she's from and eventually we got her ID and she was just barely 18 and said her father died and she just wanted to go home and she was a little drunk and she was at a party at some point but we don't know how she got here from there, wherever the party was, and eventually we got her a little more rational but not much and got the police to come and contacted her sister and the police took her to the station to wait for her sister and this morning I called her sister and she got the girl home okay and she'll be all right except I guess for the dead father thing.

That was a long sentence.

Wow.

To quote Dan Savage of Savage Love fame:

"Well, wasn't Jesus Christ responsible for the most traumatic how-I-lost-my-virginity horror story ever told? Not His deflowering, I mean His mother's. As everyone knows, Mary was a virgin when she conceived and a virgin when she gave birth. This means, of course, that Jesus busted His own mom's hymen, kicking it down like a door on His way into the world. And you thought your first time was traumatic!"

So, male genitalia are easier to figure out than female ones, generally--they're right there. They're more user-friendly. But they just can't do as much--how many women are multiorgasmic without doing anything special, versus men who practice tantric sex and all that jazz and are? Lower maximum performance.

Guy bits are Windows, girl bits are Linux.

That will be all. Thank you and good night.

Edit: Breasts are Macs--highly aesthetic, but with a limited functionality!

Once upon a time, there was a wise and mighty king, who commanded men and women, spirits of the earth and spirits of the air. One day, he called all of his wise men to him, and said, "I desire an object that will keep me wise when I might otherwise falter--an object that will remind me of the transience of things, and sober me when I am filled with joy and cheer me when I am plagued with sorrow."
And his wise men asked for a month in which to think on and create this thing, but when a month had passed, they came before the king empty-handed and asked his forgiveness.
So the king called the spirits of the earth and the spirits of the air before him, and made his request again. And the spirits asked for a month in which to think on and create this thing, but when a month had passed, they came before the king empty-handed and asked his forgiviness.
And so, the king called a djinn before him, and made his request a third time; and the djinn asked for a month in which to think on and create this thing, and when a month had passed, he came before the king.
"Well? Have you made this thing that I desire?" asked the king, and the djinn gave him a plain golden ring.
On it were inscribed the following words: "This, Too, Shall Pass."

Your hair is a lion's mane. But then,
you've always been a lion, and I
an antelope;
an antelope;only,
I have chased you,
but never caught you, have only
cast doe-eyed gazes,
still as the air, and
still as the air, andquiet
as the long grass. I have heard
the thunder of your roar;
have heard thunder,
have heard thunder,telling
of lightning, somewhere
far, far away. Not here.
far, far away. Not here.Here
there is coruscating air, thunder
making the grass whisper;
making the grass whisper;a distant presence,
removed from me, and not hunting,
not shaking your glorious mane.
Then, even the thunder, the ripple of air,
Then, even the thunder, the ripple of air,is gone, and I - disquiet.

To the couple of folks that added me--you're welcome to do it, but it won't do you much good. I don't actually, y'know, *update*.

It was a Monday when,
my lover told me:
Never pay the reaper with
love only...
What could I say to you except "I love you,
and I'd give my life for yours"...?
I know, we are, we
Are the lucky ones...

The first time we made love I,
I wasn't sober,
And you told me you loved me
over and over...
How can I ever, love another...?
When I miss you every day...

Remember the time we made,
love in the roses,
And you took my picture in
all sorts of poses?
How can I ever, get over you
When I'd give my life for yours...?
I know, we are, we
are the lucky ones...
